This week Cheryl from The Calgary Humane Society stopped in with a really lovely fellow named Zane. Zane is a Border Collie mix, with what might be some Springer Spaniel in him. He’s a really gregarious affectionate guy.

Cheryl from the Calgary Humane Society stopped in with a little fellow named Stephen. He’s a Degu - looks like a large hamster, but is related to the Guinea Pig. They are very social animals and love your attention. 

Cheryl from the Calgary Humane Society was in today (as she is every Thursday) and she brought along a friendly little fellow named Buddy. He’s a 9 year old Shih Tzu whose owners had to give him up. He would make a great companion dog. He’ll require eye drops daily for an eye ulcer. You can check him (and all sorts of other pets of all shapes n sizes) at the Humane Society.

   

Cheryl from The Calgary Humane Society stopped in today with a really cute, affectionate young girl named Sophie. Sophie is about 8 months old, is a little skittish around sudden noises or movement, but is quite affectionate and playful. You can find her along with all sorts of other animals of all shapes and sizes up for adoption through the Humane Society.

Cheryl from The Calgary Humane Society stopped by today with a pretty cool, and super-personable cat named Rick. Apparently he has the sociable qualities of a dog in cat form. If Jordan (our office princess, and hardcore cat lady) was ever the villian in a Bond film, this is what she’d look like. Not very scary:

Cheryl from CHS was in this week with a really friendly fellow named Finn. He knows all sorts of tricks, and is eager-to-please. He’s available (along with lots of other great pets) for adoption through the Calgary Humane Society.

Sheena’s a really lovely lady. She’s really people-friendly and playful, though will need a little work on interacting with other dogs, and lots of exercise. You can check her out at The Calgary Humane Society.

Cheryl from The Calgary Humane Society came in on Thursday and brought along Miles, a Keeshond/Alaskan Malamute Cross. Despite his age - about 6 years old - Miles has a really gregarious puppy-like attitude. He has a pretty thick coat so a regular brushing is in order. He likes the outdoors, and definitely doesn’t mind Calgary winters. You can check him and all sorts of other great pets out at Calgaryhumane.ca or visit the shelter.

This week Cheryl from the Calgary Humane Society came in with one of my favourite breeds. She brought a 1-year old beagle named Jenny with her. Jenny is a little timid around guys, but just a sweetheart of a hound. Great shape, beautiful colours, and the typical fun beagle personality. She just one of hundreds of pets available for adoption.

Every Thursday at about 2:30, Cheryl from The Calgary Humane Society drops by our storefront studio with a pet available for adoption. She’s brought some really awesome ones to date - various dogs, kittens and even a guinea pig - but Copper is my favourite so far. I have an affinity for hounds (Beagles, Bassets, Bloodhounds, Etc.) but have never seen this combination of breeds before. A Basset Hound mixed with a Golden Lab. Like a sausage-version of a lab. Really friendly, loveable and curious. Little more energy than a Basset. Here are some pics:
